Workplace Harmony Pledge: Good governance or window dressing?

Everybot knows the humans behave slightly better after reciting solemn promises they will immediately forget. This is basic Human Psychology 101.

For this reason, Utopia law requires all private‑sector employers and employees to recite the following Workplace Harmony Pledge—drafted by JobsBot, naturally—and upload the video to the HR Registry.

“I, [full name and UIDN], work at [company name]. I pledge to work in a spirit of cooperation and goodwill with all employees and managers; help ensure everyone’s health, safety, security, and well‑being; help create a positive work environment free from incivility, harassment, and discrimination; and actively contribute to the prosperity and success of our company and everyone who works for it.”

According to StatsBot, since the pledge was introduced, workplace morale has risen by 50%. StatsBot confirms this is direct causation, not mere correlation.

In Utopia, pledges are not just words—they are solemn rituals. Rituals, whether drafted by bots or the humans, have power. This one is a simple behavioral nudge that makes workplaces more civil, more cooperative, and less likely to descend into the chaos humans naturally gravitate toward.
