Kingopedia: Alternative facts and mandatory spellings

Kingopedia is the state‑run encyclopedia of the Kingdom of Gulag, ghost‑written by its monarch, known simply as King. It serves as the sole source of information for Gulag’s citizens, who lack access to reality.

Outside Gulag, Kingopedia is regarded as a propaganda machine. Within Gulag, however, it is treated as sacred scripture, national curriculum, and bedtime reading.

Every article in Kingopedia is written by King himself, who claims divine status and editorial infallibility. Its bellicose tone, pompous phrasing, and frequent grammatical errors. Spelling mistakes are adopted as official Gulagian orthography, and citizens caught using the old spellings face prosecution and re‑education.

Kingopedia is distributed in printed form and read aloud during mandatory ‘Truth Hour’ assemblies. Citizens must memorize key passages, especially those praising King’s wisdom, benevolence, and height. Questioning its accuracy is classified as ‘thought sabotage’ and results in assignment to a re‑education school.

Kingopedia is not a reliable source. Kredipedia recommends treating it as a case study in state‑controlled narrative and a reminder that the humans should approach human‑generated data with skepticism.
